As you prepare for General Synod 2025, we invite you to attend a series of pre-General Synod webinars. These webinars aim to provide General Synod members with the knowledge and information needed to participate effectively during the General Synod gathering. The topics, dates and times are as follows:
1. Orientation to General Synod: Tuesday, May 27, 7:30 p.m. ET
The Ven. Alan T. Perry, General Secretary, and Shannon Cottrell, Executive Secretary for Governance, will cover various practical aspects of the General Synod gathering.
2. Governance Working Group: Thursday, May 29, 7:30 p.m. ET
Members of the Governance Working Group will discuss upcoming resolutions from the group.
3. Primate’s Commission: Tuesday, June 3, 7:30 p.m. ET
Members of the Primate’s Commission on Proclaiming the Gospel in the 21st Century will discuss their work and the final report they will bring to General Synod 2025.
4. Faith, Worship, & Ministry Committee, Tuesday, June 10, 7:30 p.m.
Members of the Faith, Worship, & Ministry Committee will answer questions about the resolutions they are bringing to General Synod, with a particular focus on the Feast of the Creator and the materials on the diaconate.
5. Participating in decision-making at General Synod, Tuesday, June 17, 7:30 p.m. ET
The Ven. Alan T. Perry, General Secretary, will speak about the rules for debate and voting at General Synod.
Each session will last for approximately one hour. These webinars are exclusive to General Synod members, and registration is required to attend.
